New trends in the use of digital technologies in tourism

For the 6th consecutive year was held in Athens, Digi.travel EMEA Conference & Expo, the European edition of the Digi Travel conference series, organizer of which is Travel Media Applications.

The conference has managed to become a top institution for the use of digital technologies in tourism. It explored the current trends of travelers and the technological developments that will affect the travel industry in the coming years and on the other hand the current tools and solutions that tourism professionals can use to respond effectively to modern reality. More specifically, issues related to modern hotel management and the relationship of new media and blogging to the tourism industry were analyzed. The list of speakers had great and important names in it, both from the Greek and from the international market.

For another year, it was presented the necessity of the Greek tourism to adapt to the data and requirements created by the ever-increasing use of digital technologies proves to be necessary.

"With the rapid development of new media and the growing influence of television and traditional media, tourism professionals are confused when they try to estimate the value of each channel of communication for their customers," said Vicky Karatzavelou, Director General of Travel Media Applications.
